We will accomplish an Exam & Consultation or provide a Second Opinion for Denture, Implants, Wisdom Teeth Removal at No Charge. We will even take the x-rays at our cost if you don't have one with you!
Dental Fillings
We only provide tooth colored BIS-GMA hybrid resin fillings that will last a lifetime if properly cared for. Since Dr. Carter is truly an artist, he is exceptional at re-creating natural looking teeth and often will improve your image by "glamourizing" your smile.
Emergency Dentistry
We will provide exam, x-rays, diagnosis, and determine the course of action needed to relieve your discomfort on this visit. We commonly perform extractions, surgical tooth removals, or fillings at your first appointment. Exact treatment will depend on your specific situation, which can only be determined by seeing you at this appointment.
Dental Hygiene

About the Office
We know not everyone is excited to go to the dentist so we try our best to make you as comfortable as possible. We feel our office has a "homey" feel with a laid back and relaxed environment. We have confidential private rooms complete with TV's. Sit back and relax and enjoy your favorite movie on demand via Netflix. Dr Carter considers himself a consultant more or less. He will give you his treatment recommendation but ultimately he knows it's your mouth and your money so you make the decisions. We do not bully or guilt you into a treatment you are not interested in.

We accept most PPO type dental plans and offer self-pay discounts to those without dental plans. We also offer affordable monthly payment options to all patients. About the Dentist
Derrick Carter, D.M.D., a Jacksonville, FL native, graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1984. He opened his Macclenny practice in 2003 and works with all ages (3-103). He handles all types of dentistry; from simple fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures/partials to implants and oral surgery, with an emphasis on making smiles pretty and white (cosmetic dentistry). Dr Carter and his wife of 43 years, Judy, have lived in Baker County since 1995. They have 5 children; Matthew who is a musician, Donnie proudly served in the United States Air Force and the U.S. Coast Guard, Jonathan also currently serves in the U.S. Air Force and last but not least, twins Anna and Nathan (21). Nathan is already proving to be computer wiz and Anna loves to sing and playing the piano and is currently enrolled in pre-medical studies at the University of Florida. The Carter's enjoy nature and have a vacation home in the mountains of West Virginia. They also enjoy traveling and site-seeing.
